About

Aspire! Afterschool Learning's mission is to enhance learning opportunities for historically underserved youth, helping them reach their full potential through afterschool and summer programs that connect families, schools, and communities. Each year, Aspire provides over 12,000 hours of literacy support to students in and around Arlington, VA.

Challenge

Approaching its 30th anniversary, Aspire aimed to seize this milestone to:

• Re-engage former board members and volunteers

• Increase the number of major and recurring donors

• Ensuring Aspire is meaningfully engaging with donors and volunteers

Despite having extensive historical data, Aspire lacked the staff capacity to analyze it and identify individuals interested in re-engaging and increasing their contributions.

Solution

Aspire partnered with Connecting Points Consulting, providing them with historical and wealth screening data. By analyzing this data and identifying significant patterns and correlations, we pinpointed individuals most likely to re-engage and contribute to Aspire with their time, talent, and treasure. Additionally, we advised Aspire on which data was ineffective in identifying these individuals, helping them avoid unnecessary costs in the future.

As Aspire prepares for its significant anniversary, it is confidently implementing these insights to enhance its impact and expand its reach.
